The range ARTIFICIAL TURF for outdoor tennis court by Maton Sports includes all of our sanded or semi-sanded synthetic turf-based surfaces.

This coating is made of high quality fibers and is the perfect choice for the practice of leisure tennis or for any other polyvalent sports field (padel, multi-sports field,etc). It is an aesthetic, sustainable and economic coating that offers a great comfort to the players.

Used in the prestigious Wimbledon tournament the artificial turf is the oldest playing surface in tennis. It is faster than the clay court surface, it offers lower ball bounce and less pronounced effects. Therefore, it favours attacking players and players with an excellent serving game, who often go up to the net to complete the game !

Technical features

Surface material :

• Artificial turf weighted with sand, tufted in lines
• Installed directly on a stable and clean base, preferably a draining asphalt mix or porous concrete (thickness of 20cm)
• The installation is forbidden at too low temperatures and in wet weather conditions
• Permeable surface and shock-absorbing floor.

Construction :

• (1) coating : artificial turf carpet
• (2) embedded lines
• (3) bonded substrate : porous concrete slab, resorbant or  porous asphalt concrete.
• (4) base box : draining and permeable structure with a minimum thickness of 20cm

• Wire specification : 100% polyethylene, UV-resistant, 5000 Dtex.
• 110 μ fiber, profiled fiber

Maintenance and advice from Maton Sports

There is few maintenance but it is important to do it in order to guarantee the regularity of game characteristics : ball speed and flexibility.

Maton Sports offers adapted maintenance programs for your court in artificial turf.

• 1x/week : brush with a preferably weighted broom.
• 2x/year : spring/autumn, treating the court with a biocide, brush vigorously with a specific machine. Refill with sand if necessary.
• During winter : clearing the snow for winter use.
